This 90-minute webinar will provide practical, evidence-informed approaches for addressing sleep concerns within integrated care. Participants will review common sleep concerns and contributors to poor sleep as well as potential long-term effects of untreated sleep difficulties. The webinar will cover strategies for brief sleep screening and assessment, along with behavioral and cognitive interventions that can be incorporated into routine patient encounters. Participants will also review commonly used medications for sleep concerns, including potential benefits, limitations, and considerations for integrated care teams. Emphasis will be placed on practical tools that team members can adapt to brief encounters and individual patient needs, use to support realistic behavior changes and monitor progress, and apply when determining whether additional medical or specialty evaluation may be indicated.
Although these webinars are open to anyone, the content is specifically designed to be informative for those participating in BCBSM Integrated Behavioral Health Initiatives. Visit CoCM and PCBH for more information.
