Palliative Care - Spiritual, Religious and Existential Aspects of Care (Canceled)

This live activity will discuss the definitions and the importance of inclusion of spirituality, religion and existentialism in the care of patients with serious illnesses and at the end of life. This program will provide information on various spiritual assessment tools, and conceptual models. Learning Objectives:

  • Define spirituality and religion.
  • Describe how spirituality impacts the patient with illnesses, the dying patient and and their loved ones.
  • Discuss the influence of spirituality on the palliative care process.
  • Illustrate the role of the palliative care provider in spiritual care.
