Currently, there are no formal recommendations for CKD screening to guide primary care physicians from the United States Preventative Services Task Force (USPSTF). However, there are separate clinical practice guidelines from organizations such as the American Diabetes Association and the National Kidney Foundation. The lack of a consensus statement and recent changes with eGFR formulas may also cause confusion about which tests to order and how to interpret results. This session will bring together a panel of physicians and care team providers to discuss which patients may benefit from CKD screening, appropriate tests, and result interpretation.
